Grid Computing

We have been operating an High-Performance Computing cluster at Florida Tech for the Open Science Grid since 2007. It is an official USCMS Tier3 compute element for the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider and processes data from proton-proton collisions. The system has been upgraded to the latest versions of the Rocks OS and HT-Condor batch-job manager. We have also allowed several faculty members to use our resources alongside our own Muon Tomography simulations. The hardware comprises a total of 160 available CPU cores in the worker nodes.
