Every applicant must submit

• Top three choices for summer projects
• A copy of their academic transcripts.
• Two letters of recommendation.
• An essay containing:
  1. One paragraph discussing a challenge you have faced and how you overcame it.
  2. One paragraph about yourself by detailing the unique characteristics and talents that you will bring to the program.
  3. One paragraph briefly describing your background, interest in participating in this summer undergraduate research program, and your career goals. 

We need the above elements to process your application.

SMAG REU program will request the letters of recommendation once you have entered the names of your recommenders and they will be able to upload their letter as a pdf file.
