Adsorption and Energy Technology Laboratory

Overview

The Adsorption and Energy Technology Laboratory (AETL) at Florida Institute of Technology focuses on the development and thermal management of adsorption-based thermal energy systems that can contribute in mitigating the impending effects of climate change. These include refrigeration and air conditioning, separation, automotive, aviation and electronic systems, as global efforts are being led to minimize the dependence on fossil fuels and develop more energy efficient and durable adsorption-based designs. Our efforts include investigation of integral transport processes in all components of these energy systems that can establish their feasibility and upgrade these analyses to a complete system level performance assessment.
