Bio
My research focuses on predation of the native Florida Apple Snails. Being vital to the structure of the Everglades and other marsh ecosystems, these apple snails are also the primary prey of the endangered Everglades Snail Kite. Due to the invasive Island Apple Snail displacing the Florida Apple Snail, many indirect and direct effects have occurred within these ecosystems. I am currently measuring morphometric data of eaten shells, and determining if there is a relationship with shell damage.
