Undergraduate and graduate students supporting the TRANSCEND research presented related multi-disciplinary research that has been conducted during the first year of the project during the TRANSCEND Annual Review.

Graduate and undergraduate students from several disciplines spanning Computer Science, Engineering, and Human Factors enjoyed a networking dinner during which they shared their student and research experiences.
Teams of high school students participated in an autonomous aircraft flight activity to learn about learning-enabled systems and their implications for future aviation. Students interacted with autonomous aircraft systems as monitors of automated flight control systems, and were crucial to making decisions about the flight plan. They also participated in a debrief session and discussed their trust in learning-enabled systems.
The TRANSCEND team from Florida Tech and the University of Florida trained 8 non-technical faculty members from Santa Fe Community College on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems during May 5 - 8.
The TRANSCEND team hosted a student networking event focused on hiring within the Advanced Air Mobility space in the age of AI. The event brought together over 100 Florida Tech students with panel members from the AAM and aviation industries, who spoke to students about professional opportunities and challenges with the development of the AAM network, and the importance of the human side of autonomy and machines. Speakers included professionals from PACE Aerospace & IT, Collins Aerospace, Eve Air Mobility, Radial Vector Consulting, and AAMA Advanced Air Mobility Association.
