Dr. Khan Mohammad Al Farabi is presently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the ASSIST Lab, Florida Institute of Technology, USA, under the mentorship of Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharyya. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Memphis, USA. His research interests include Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Formal Methods, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Markov Logic Networks, and Deep Learning. Prior to his current role, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Computing, University of Georgia, USA, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences, Augusta University, USA. He also held an academic position as an Assistant Professor at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He completed his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).
Currently, Dr. Farabi is engaged in developing a responsible and equitable XAI inference model grounded in formal methods, reflecting his commitment to ethical AI development. His interdisciplinary approach, combining formal verification techniques with cutting-edge machine learning, aims to ensure that AI systems are not only effective but also fair and interpretable. His academic appointments and collaborations across multiple prestigious institutions underscore his leadership and influence within the AI research community, positioning him as a key figure driving innovation in responsible artificial intelligence.
