Dr. Amy Pritchett, Sc.D., is a Professor and Head of Aerospace Engineering at Penn State. Her research expertise is at the intersection of technology, humans and safety in dynamic, time-critical and safety-critical environments, including human-robot interaction in space exploration, human-autonomy teaming in aviation, novel flight deck designs, and manual control. She Chairs the National Academies’ Committee on Emerging Trends in Aviation Safety and is lead author on their recent reports on safety assurance and safety management during transformative changes in aviation technology and operations. She has served as the Director of NASA’s Aviation Safety Program and is on the executive committee of CAST and the executive board of ASIAS.
