Ph.D. position opening in the Systems Realization Laboratory @ Florida Institute of Technology

We currently have one Ph.D. position opening (Spring 2021 OR Fall 2021) for highly self-motivated and talented students to join the Systems Realization Laboratory @ Florida Institute of Technology (SRL@FIT). SRL@FIT is a new design research laboratory at FIT that started functioning in Fall 2020. We expect to be a multicultural, multidisciplinary academic family focused on educating the next generation of engineers and professors. Our goal in SRL@FIT is to provide an opportunity for each person to learn how to dream and rise to his/her full potential and contribute to the scholarship associated with the realization of complex engineered systems. We operate under the philosophy of sharing to gain. We require people with multi-disciplinary backgrounds – preferably in the areas of engineering design, machine learning, materials science, manufacturing, mechanics, and systems design (or related areas).

Candidates with strong background in computational modeling, engineering design and optimization, statistics, and machine learning are highly encouraged to apply.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Skype/Zoom interview. Candidates shortlisted after the Skype/Zoom interview are required to answer a Questionnaire that will be shared after the interview process.
