Optical Coherence Microscopy for Image Analysis with Deep Learning
Optical coherence microscopy (OCM) combined with deep learning is used to create a better method for diagnosis of skin cancer. OCM is a derivation of traditional spectral-domain OCT that operates with high transverse lateral resolution (Gabor-domain) and allows for depth scanning of a sample to create 3D .tiff stacks. Deep learning is a novel tool that uses artificial neural networks through layers of image processing to extract key features and data within images.
