We were recently awarded a NIH R01 from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) as part of a multidisciplinary collaborative research effort for improving dialyzer design and performance. MCFL will perform hemodynamic modeling and mass transport simulations for various dialyzer designs to assess areas of improvement for renal disease therapy. MCFL will receive up to ~ $214K over the award period. This work is also aligned with our collaborative efforts towards designing a fully Implantable Artificial Kidney Device!
