Black Racer
The Black Racer (Coluber constrictor) is a slender, 50-80 cm snake that can be found throughout eastern and western United States. They are a very dark black with a white belly and chin as adults, however as juveniles they are a light gray color with an orange to red pattern throughout the body. Ring-necked Snake
The Ring-necked Snake (Diadophis punctatus) is a mid-sized 20-30 cm snake that can be found throughout the southern and northeastern United States and select areas in the midwestern United States. They are a beautiful glossy black or grey color with a distinct yellow ring directly behind the head and bright orange, yellow or red belly.
