A showcase for senior projects in engineering and science held annually in April at Florida Tech. Every year, we enjoy celebrating the hard work these students have put into these ideas and experiments before they move on to their next endeavor.
"Palmer alley" returns!
Indigo Boggs received the award for Best in Show: Science for her project "Testing Radiation Resistance and Recovery in Anabaena cylindrica".
Kara Smoak and teammate Aiden Kelly received the award for Best in Show: Astrobiology for their project "Testing Bacterial Isolates from the ISS for their Plant Growth Promoting Abilities".
Ruth Nichols received the award for Honors College Best in Show: Science for her project "On the probability of life per site", her advisor being Dr. Manasvi Lingam.

Lea Adepoju received the award for Best in Show: Biological Science for her project "Bioleaching of JEZ-1 simulant by Anabaena cylindrica: Possible Fuel for Future Space Exploration". She is featured here in the Florida Tech news!
David Handy and teammates Alejandro Perez and Cynthia Montanez won Best in Show: Biological Sciences for their project "Bioremediation of Perchlorate Contaminants from Martian Water".
Drew's lab is often found at conferences hosted by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), American Society for Microbiologists (ASM) and American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR), and the Florida Academy of Sciences (FAS).
