Dr. Georgios C. Anagnostopoulos, Associate Professor Computer Engineering and Sciences Email: georgio@fit.edu Faculty Webpage Has more than 80 technical publications in the broader field of Machine Learning and, since 2003, has attracted about $1.5M in external funding, primarily from the National Science Foundation. He has been a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (Saarbruecken, Germany) in 2011 and at the USAF Research Laboratory (Rome, NY) in 2012. Also, he has served as a reviewer and panelist for numerous national and international venues and currently serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. His recent research interests span various paradigms and applications of Machine Learning, like Artificial Neural Networks, Decision Trees, Evolutionary Computation, Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, Information Processing, Optimization & Learning, and Mathematical Modeling.

Dr. Adrian M. Peter, Associate Professor Computer Engineering and Sciences Email: apeter@fit.edu Faculty Webpage Over 10+ years of algorithm development experience, with professional and academic work in areas such as statistical data analysis, mathematical optimization, and probabilistic modeling. He has previously held several positions in industry: Intel Corporation (technology initiatives program manager ), Harris Corporation (research engineer), and Northrop Grumman (Chief Scientist of the Advanced Analytics Group in the Information Systems sector). Dr. Peter is the co-inventor on eight patents which cover exploitation across a wide variety of sensors (e.g. LiDAR, SAR, and Hyper/Multi-spectral). He is a member of the IEEE and an active reviewer on several journal publications and leading conferences in computer vision and computational reasoning. Dr. Peter's research interests are in applied machine learning with a focus on geometric information exploitation in a variety of domains, such as signal processing, image analysis and text mining.

Dr. Anthony Smith, Associate Professor Computer Engineering and Sciences Email: anthonysmith@fit.edu Faculty Webpage 10 years of system and software engineering experience, and has served as a Principal Investigator and Research Scientist on various projects at Harris Corporation. Dr. Smith currently holds 15 patents in the areas of advance image and signal processing, and high performance computing. He has been recognized for outstanding achievements in research execution, publications, and innovative technology development. He completed his Ph.D, and Master of Engineering in computer engineering at the University of Florida. His research interests lie in the areas of scientific high performance computing, cloud computing, machine learning, data analytics, and computer vision.
