Here at the Institute for Cross Cultural Management, we believe that organizational science only matters to the extent that it benefits real people in real global organizations. The 2016 Cross Cultural Management Summit brings together experts from academia, government, military, and the corporate world to discuss the cultural challenges facing global organizations and to create real-world solutions. Global professionals will be able to pick the brains of scientific thought leaders and organizational scholars will have the opportunity to network with global professionals and pinpoint the cross cultural management issues that are most important to their organizations.

The theme of the 2016 Summit is Strategic Global Talent. It is often said that "Culture Eats Strategy". However, when an organization's strategy includes culture, and the leaders of the organization prepare their talent for global initiatives, there is a much greater chance of success. Cultural savvy is no longer a "nice to have". It has become a strategic driver of success abroad.

The 2016 Summit will be filled with insightful presentations by thought leaders, interactive discussions, and one-on-one networking opportunities that combine to create a productive and fun learning environment.

However, the best learning is through experience, which is why we have partnered with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the half-day capstone exercise. During this exercise, representatives from the ICRC will present a set of cultural challenges they face when completing their missions across the globe. Participants will work with their peers at their tables to develop a set of recommendations to address these challenges. These solutions will be presented to the ICRC. We believe this exercise will be an excellent way to use new knowledge and the energy in the room to help people in need around the globe.
