Umesh Chandra Nalla is a master’s student in Applied Aviation Safety at the College of Aeronautics, Florida Tech. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering in India. His research interests include human factors, aviation safety, and unmanned aircraft systems. He has contributed to projects on UAS sightings, altitude compliance, and human factors in BVLOS operations. He is volunteering in the HF ASSIST Lab, assisting with research on BVLOS operations and Advanced Air Mobility
