We enjoy enhancing our services through collaboration with community partners such as Agent Jessie Holton and his therapy dog, Primus, with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (pictured above, left, and with the FLP team on the right)

The Family Learning Program is very invested in our community. We frequently offer both formal and informal presentations and trainings and offer our support and partnership to many various organizations within Brevard County, including:

  • Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA)
  • Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard
  • Sexual Assault Victim Services
  • Brevard Family Partnership
  • Child Protective Investigators
  • Brevard County Sheriff's Office
  • Foster Parent Trainings
  • Law Enforcement Trainings
  • Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Trainings
  • Department of Children and Families Trainings
  • Children's Home Society
  • Department of Health/Children's Medical Services
  • Devereux of Florida

Additionally, we attend many local family events to reach out to those in our community who may be in need of our services, including:

  • KidFest at Viera High School
  • Take Back the Night
  • Walk for Love 5K
  • Run for Love 5K
  • All Kids Can Festival
  • The Scott Center Open House
  • Parenting in Today's World Conference
  • Sexual Assault Response Team (attending and host meetings)
  • Lauren's Walk

The Family Learning Program provides sexual abuse trainings and presentations at no cost to our community partners. We do greatly appreciate ongoing referrals from our community partners to allow us to provide no-cost sexual abuse treatment to child and adolescent victims. Additionally, we must continue to meet our grant contractual obligations for new victims served to ensure our ability to continue to provide free-of-charge treatment services and community trainings and presentations in the future.

If your organization would like to receive a presentation on child sexual abuse, or would like to obtain additional information about FLP's services, please contact the following FLP administrators:
