Electronic Support Lab

The Mojo is an FPGA development board that is designed to be user friendly and a great introduction into digital design for anyone.

The Mojo features include

  • Spartan 6 XC6SLX9 FPGA
  • 84 digital IO pins
  • 8 analog inputs
  • 8 general purpose LEDs
  • 1 reset button
  • 1 LED to show when the FPGA is correctly configured
  • On board voltage regulation that can handle 4.8V - 12V
  • A microcontroller (ATmega32U4) used for configuring the FPGA, USB communications, and reading the analog pins
  • Arduino compatible bootloader allowing you to easily program the microcontroller as well
  • On board flash memory to store the FPGA configuration file

The V3 version of the Mojo features a more robust USB port than the V2, minor cosmetic changes, and an upgraded microcontroller with extra memory for adding your own code.

Tutorial kits are available for checkout to any student or teacher at the electronic support lab free of charge. These starter kits include all shields made for the MOJO including the servo shield shown and everything necessary to learn the basics of the MOJO Platform and include sensors, servos, shields and more all combined with an easy, self paced online tutorial to make FPGAs simple to understand and integrate into your next project.
