Bio
I joined Dr. Toby's lab in 2015 as a master's student. My thesis research focused on multiple paternity in the finetooth shark in Gulf of Mexico and NW Atlantic Ocean populations. This research is now published in Ecology & Evolution and can be found here! https://doi.org/10.1002/ece3.7948
Since completing my master's in 2018, I worked for several years as a research biologist and adjunct professor at the University of West Florida. My research primarily focused on birds and their native habitats in FL. I then decided to make a career change and pursue my childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian - I am now a member of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2025! I plan to continue working with wildlife and exotic animals as a veterinarian.
