Mohammad Hafeez Khan

Ph.D. student in Computer Science

Bio

Hafeez Khan, currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Florida Tech, has a keen interest in advanced computer vision research. Presently he is working on Automated Data Labeling and Assurance for Autonomous Aircraft Vision Systems (ADLAAAVS) project, funded by NASA. His research interests’ range over avant-garde techniques such as autoencoders, vision transformers, diffusion models and few/zero-shot learning.

Hafeez portrays a strong background in teaching and research through his role as a Teaching Assistant for CSE2010: Data Structures and Algorithms under the guidance of Dr. Philip Chan.

With a recent publication at CVPR24, Hafeez authored seven research publications which his aptitude towards innovative solutions. Notably, he collaborated with NASA to create a vanguard annotation framework for efficient taxiway dataset labeling.

His work echoes a passion for pushing the boundaries of computer vision and contributing to impactful interdisciplinary research which can be witnessed through his design contribution of advanced autoencoder models for reconstructing 3D cardiac velocities for the MCFL Lab which is funded by the American Heart Association (AHA) in Summer of 2024.
