Dr. Kostanic joined Florida Tech in 2003 as an assistant professor. He teaches mostly graduate level courses in areas of RF propagation, Communication theory and Wireless communication. Prior to joining FIT, Dr. Kostanic spent more than seven years working in wireless communication industry. He worked as a research engineer for Agilent Technologies, SAFCO Technologies and TEC Cellular. |

Dr. Carlos E. Otero is an adjunct professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology. His research interests are geared towards wireless sensor networks, simulation, performance analysis, and optimization. He has over 10 years of industry experience in satellite communications systems, command & control systems, wireless security systems, and unmanned aerial vehicle systems. Nizar Faour is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the Florida Institute of Technology. His research interests are in the areas of RF propagation, wireless networks design and optimization. Nizar has more than ten years of industry experience in wireless communications systems. Fawzi Alghamdi is a PhD candidate. He joined Florida Tech as an undergraduate in 1999. His research interests are in the performance analysis and optimization of WiMAX networks. Fawzi has also coauthored 11 publications in the areas of RFIDs, web intelligence, software evolution, real-life simulation of catastrophic events, and disaster management.
