Who We Are
Scott Center Psychological Services of Florida Tech (SCPS) is a psychological services facility operated by Florida Tech's School of Psychology. The purpose of SCPS is to provide a full range of psychological services to the greater South Brevard community. The staff is comprised of graduate students in the clinical psychology doctoral program. Each clinician is supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist of the faculty at Florida Tech.
Our Mission
SCPS has a dual mission: To foster optimal psychological services to the community; and provide a practicum in clinical psychology for graduate students of the doctoral program of the School of Psychology. The purpose of this practicum is to provide exposure to, participation in, and production of the highest quality of psychological services. We are committed to providing a practicum site where challenge is coupled with encouragement, in a psychologically sophisticated atmosphere.
The clinic primarily provides psychological services for those in the community who do not have health insurance. Due to the quality of services offered at this university setting, some individuals with mental health insurance coverage also seek services at SCPS.
