Patricia Doukas
College Roll

Patricia is working on charcoal analysis and extraction from soil
samples from the Amazon Basin. She started working in the
PaleoEcology Lab since Spring 2009.

Chris La Drew
College Roll

Chris started as a volunteer in the PaleoEcology Lab since Fall 2008
and now holds a college roll position. He is working on charcoal
analysis and pollen extraction from soil and lake sediment samples.
His work contributes to our understanding of recent treeline changes
in the Peruvian Andes.

Shannon E. Sully
College Roll

Shannon started as a federally-funded work study in the PaleoEcology
Lab in Fall 2008 and now holds a College Roll position. She initially
conducted charcoal analysis on Late-Pleistocene sediments from
Lake PetenItza in the Yucatán Peninsula. At present, Shannon is trying
to understand the climate history of the Galápagos Islands.

Monica L. Zimmerman
Federal Work Study

Monica started her work study position in the PaleoEcology Lab in
Fall 2008. She collected speleotherm samples for isotopic analyses
to reconstruct past changes in rainfall in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
Now she is workign on pollen extraction from soil and lake sediment
samples from the Peruvian Andes.
