Institute for Cross-Cultural Management Receives Grant to Enhance Cultural Training for the Military

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s Institute for Cross Cultural Management (ICCM) has received a $280,000 grant from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI). Florida Tech Partners with Spain's University of Valencia to Train Future Management Professionals

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Industrial Organizational (I/O) Psychology program at Florida Institute of Technology recently finalized a collaborative agreement with the University of Valencia in Spain, a European leader in international training. Starting in fall 2012, selected students in the I/O master’s and doctoral programs will spend one semester abroad as part of the program’s increased international emphasis.

Institute for Cross Cultural Management Supports U.S. Military Effectiveness Overseas

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Cultural mistakes in a business environment may lead to embarrassment, or loss of a customer. In the military, though, a lack of cultural understanding can lead to a loss of life and weakened national security. The Institute for Cross Cultural Management (ICCM) at the Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Psychology is working to make sure these mistakes happen less frequently by improving the cross-cultural competence of U.
