Top from left to right: Mike, Brad, Dr. Baarmand, Hamit, Igor; Bottom left to right: Ivan, ShawnThis High Energy Physics group is supervised by Dr. Marc Baarmand and Dr. Igor Vodopiyanov.  The group analyzes simulated top and bottom quark data in order to prepare for the mass influx of data when the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) becomes operation at CERN in Geneva Switzerland.  The group is part of the US Compact Muon Solenoid (USCMS) Virtual Organization (VO) that will connect hundreds of scientists around the world.  These scientists will work with the LHC and specifically the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) in 2008 when the LHC becomes operational.  More information about CERN and the LHC here.
