Department of Physics and Space Sciences - Florida Institute of Technology
This High Energy Physics group is supervised by Dr. Marc Baarmand and Dr. Igor Vodopiyanov. The group analyzes simulated top and
bottom quark data in order to prepare for the mass influx of data when the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) becomes operation at CERN in Geneva
Switzerland. The group is part of the US Compact Muon Solenoid (USCMS) Virtual Organization (VO) that will connect hundreds of scientists
around the world. These scientists will work with the LHC and specifically the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) in 2008 when the LHC becomes
operational. More information about CERN and the LHC here.
This site possesses information about the research being done by the research group, news relevant to the High Energy Particle Physics (HEP) field of study and information about our sponsors.
