Short Course on HCD: An HCI View
Entering into the XXI Century

Master events on Human-Centered Design: A Human-Computer Interaction View focus on user interfaces, human factors in computing systems, Web interfaces, interaction design, ubiquitous computing, usability, computer-supported cooperative work, social software, user experience and many other HCI topics.

This short course will enable you to better develop user interfaces using a human-centered design approach. In particular, with the other participants you will focus on the effectivity of HCD approaches, the identification of the context of use and become familiarized with industry standards.

During two days, you will learn about HCD methods, techniques and tools. You will get advice and support from highly recognized professionals in the field. HCDi researchers and faculty will coach you on one of your project. In addition to theory and experience sharing, participants will be involved in group exercises and active discussions.

Location

HCI HCD short courses are held at the Florida Institute of Technology.

Fees

$1,040 per participant.

Target audience

No specific requirements, but an interest in computers, user interfaces, interactivity, information technology or project management, for example.
