Jason' info:

Hello, I am a third year clinical psychology student. My interest in cognitive psychology is closely related to its application in the therapeutic process. My research deals with cognitive aspects of the interaction between therapists and facially injured clients. I have used cognitive tools in practice such as knowledge mapping to help clients gain a more visual grasp of goal-setting and problem-solving. My interests include individual and group psychotherapy as well as cognitive research.

James' info:

James Almasi is a Florida Tech employee, alumni, and a prospective graduate student for the I/O Psychology Program. He graduated from the school’s Technical and Professional Communication program in the spring of 2007. There, he studied Lev Vygotsky’s concept of media as psychological tools that allow for changes in the structure of consciousness and how reality is perceived. James hopes to build on this by researching how the internalization of aesthetic media can enhance an individual’s model of reality—ultimately leading to some of the more confounding questions about both art and consciousness.
